A man stole a semi truck in Los Angeles and led officers on a chase until crashing into three vehicles in Alhambra, leaving one person injured Monday morning, authorities said.
Officers arrested Brian Haddock on suspicion of felony evading police, LAPD spokesman Officer Tony Im said. The suspect’s age and city of residence hadn’t been released yet.
The truck was stolen from San Fernando Road and Penrose Street around 4:30 a.m., apparently from a lot, Im said.
The truck was going southbound on Atlantic Boulevard when it careened into a Honda Accord heading west on Valley Boulevard, Alhambra Sgt. Sigfredo Villegas said, and then it crashed into two pickup trucks traveling north on Atlantic.
The suspect ran, but LAPD officers caught him at Norwood Place and Olive Avenue, Villegas said.
The Accord’s driver was hospitalized and released.
