One Killed in Suspected Street Racing Crash in Mission Hills

Street racing may be to blame for a deadly crash that claimed the life of one person in Mission Hills, authorities said Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the intersection of Devonshire Street and Woodman Avenue about 10 p.m. Tuesday and located a vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver of the car died at the scene, police said.

Witnesses told police the vehicle that crashed was racing with another vehicle seconds before the deadly accident.

A description of the second vehicle was not immediately available.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.

No other injuries were reported.
