Woman Believed Assaulted, Kidnapped In Domestic Violence Case In Monrovia

A 31-year-old woman was possibly kidnapped in the course of a domestic violence assault Monday morning in Monrovia.
The victim was identified as Amanda Kathleen Custer and the suspect as 27-year-old Robert Anthony Camou, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Monrovia police officers responded to a report of domestic violence about 8:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Vaquero Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“Upon their arrival they located evidence that there was an apparent assault that had occurred,” according to a sheriff’s department statement. “Investigators believe the victim was kidnapped and taken against her will in a 2017 gray Toyota Prius, California license plate 8AOR167.”
Camou is described as white, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Custer is also white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
